Adults on the
Internet
Adults must also
practice "safe surfing" on the internet. Most of the
things that were discussed under Children
on the Internet must also be practiced by adults.
Adults still need to
be careful about who they chat with and who they give personal
information to. You would not allow a stranger to walk up to you
and obtain your name, telephone number and address immediately,
why would you allow that to happen on the net?
Personal information
is just that, personal. Do not give out work or home
information, dates of birth, social security numbers, names,
vehicle information and the like. While this sounds like
common sense, sometimes we get comfortable with the person that we
think we are chatting with.
Please have fun, use
this wonderful technology wisely and mostly, please be safe.
