The Belmont Police Department now subscribes to
several electronic mediums to help our residents know what is happening not only
throughout the Town of Belmont, but directly in their own
neighborhoods.
These subscriptions are free and the only cost (s) could be
associated with your individual texting plan.
| We have been using Nixle for
almost 2 years. It is an easy way for people to
receive 140 character text messages, email or web-based
notifications from us. |

| Twitter is a popular social medium which
allows subscribers to receive short messages from a
sender. We use Twitter in conjunction with Nixle. |

| CrimeReports.com is a service that allows
our residents, and others, to find out where activity is
occurring not only throughout the Town of Belmont but in
specific neighborhoods. You can find information
from as far back as 180 days or as current as daily. |

| Tipsoft is a way for the public to help
law enforcement by either texting or email tips to
us. This can be done either through a text or by
utilizing CrimeReports.com and sending either a general
tip or a specific tip by clicking on a tab through the
maps. This service allows people to give us tips
ANONYMOUSLY.
