BELMONT — The Belmont Police
Department, in cooperation with the Northfield and Tilton police departments,
will conduct at DWI sobriety checkpoint during the week of July 4-10.
The Regional DWI Task Force received superior court permission for the
checkpoint which relies on federal highway safety funds.
The program is approved by the NH Highway Safety Agency and the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration
Chief Vinnie Baiocchetti of the Belmont Police Department, Chief Steve Adams
of the Northfield Police Department and Chief Robert Cormier of the Tilton
Police Department
have teamed up through the Regional DWI Task Force to fight intoxicated drivers.
We encourage our residents and visitors to use designated drivers if necessary, wear your seat belts and watch your speed.
