Master Plan - Second Mondays

Belmont Planning Board Launches "Second Mondays"

Monthly Master Plan Session for Master Plan Updates & Public Comment

The Belmont Planning Board will commit the first hour of monthly work sessions to its Master Plan priority, according to chairman Peter Harris. "Second Mondays" will be held at the municipally owned Corner Meeting House, beginning February 11th at 7:00 p.m.

"From the start, we've described the Master Plan as a continuing and open dialogue with Belmont citizens about the town's future," he explained. "Second Mondays will keep the door open for reports, information and idea exchanges - at the same time subcommittee volunteers are developing plan content."

The Master Plan steering committee, an 11 member local coordinating group, applauded the new initiative, at the its recent monthly meeting. "Several of the eight working groups have natural linkages, and strategically, it makes sense to collaborate as early as possible," commented Linda Frawley, steering committee chairman. "Planning Board leadership and guidance is both critical and welcome," she said.

As public meetings, all community members are encouraged to attend and participate. For further information, visit the Master Plan page of www.belmontnh.org or call the Land Use office at 267-8300 ext. 13.
