1. Question: What is the fire departments emergency number?
Answer: If you have an emergency you need to dial "911". They have trained people on hand at all times to get you the help you need in a timely manner.

2. Question: What should we do in case of a fire in our home?
Answer: Call "911" if you can do so safely, if not get out of the house and call from a neighbors. After you get outside take a head count to make sure everyone is accounted for. It is always beneficial if you have a plan in place for evacuation of your residence and a meeting place for all members of the household.


3. Question: Who needs a fire permit?
Answer: A fire permit is needed for any time of outside burning including camp and cooking fires.

4. Question: Are burning permits always required?
Answer: No. When there is adequate snow cover a permit is not needed. If you are in doubt call the fire department.

5. Question: If I rent property, how do I get a permit?
Answer: If you rent property, you must get written permission from the landowner to burn on his property. The permission letter must be show at the fire station.

6. Question: Where else can I get a fire permit?
Answer: Fire permits can only be issued at the Fire Station. It has to be signed by a Fire Warden or an approved designee.
