Land Use Subcommittee

Ø      Candace Daigle presented us with a draft of the minutes of the joint subcommittee meeting held on September 10, 2001.

Ø      We requested and received a list of UNH’s Community Conservation Assistance Program’s list of Basic Inventory and Detailed Inventory Studies.

The committee feels that we need the updated overlays to methodically compare past Master plans, using overlays and surveys etc.

Apparently the land maps to be received from UNH are at least one month behind schedule.

Don Pugh reminded the members “we have zoning ordinances and that like them or not they are the law at this time”.  Our baseline is the zoning ordinance.

Ø      The committee is frustrated and feel it is time to get back to basics and that each individuals assignment for the next meeting will be to work on the Vision Statement for land use and try to e-mail the members a couple of days beforehand

Ø      As we progress we will be documenting questions for the future survey for the citizenry of Belmont.

Ø      Jim Bolduc when questioned was supportive and understood the frustration of a group of community members taking on such a large task.
