40-unit apartment project for the elderly operated under Section 202 of the National Housing Act and is regulated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) with respected rental charges and operating methods.
Units are 1 bedroom with 540 square feet of living space. Laundry facilities and a community room to be shared by residents.
Organized as non-profit corporation. IR. Code Section 501(c)(3)

Great Brook Village 55+ Community

A total of 65 residential units for residents 55 years and older, 53 units have been completed.

Restoration of the Belmont Mill /1998
In 1998 through a community effort the Belmont Mill was ready for occupancy.
1st floor houses a day care center and many intergenerational opportunities exist.
2nd floor houses a senior center developed by Community Action Program. The lives of Belmont’s and citizens of other areas have been enriched by this program.
Alternative Transportation:
Concord Area Transit provides transportation to Concord every Thursday from the senior Center.
Volunteer Program seniors drive their own cars to help others.
Plans are forthcoming to bring Neighbor to Neighbor program to Belmont.
Laconia Senior Center shares the CAP van to bring seniors to appointments in Laconia by appointment only.
CAP Mr. Fixit Program has expanded to include Belmont.
Classrooms for the Culinary Arts program share the 2nd floor.
3rd floor houses a local physician and makes it especially convenient for the senior citizens of Belmont.
4th floor houses the Community Technical Colleges “Food For Thought Cafe” which the whole community enjoys, but is especially appreciated by the seniors.
